Mana Haven is a residential home in Riverton supporting adults with disabilities who are largely independent but benefit from structure, supervision, and a stable living environment.

Our goal is to create a calm, respectful home where residents can build life skills, stay connected to the community, and maintain as much independence as possible.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play an important role in helping residents maintain routines, develop skills, and participate in everyday activities.

We are looking for reliable, compassionate individuals who want to make a meaningful difference while working in a supportive team environment.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Direct Support Professionals provide supervision, support, and guidance to residents in the home.

This role focuses on helping residents maintain independence while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Typical Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting residents with daily routines

  • Encouraging life skills and independence

  • Providing supervision within the home

  • Assisting with transportation to activities or appointments

  • Documenting important events or observations

  • Maintaining a clean and organized environment

  • Following residents' support plans and house guidelines

Most residents at Mana Haven are independent with their personal care. Staff primarily provide structure, oversight, and encouragement.

Pay Structure

Starting Pay: $15 per hour during initial training

After successful completion of the probationary period, pay increases based on shift type and responsibilities.

Higher pay may be available for:

  • weekend shifts

  • overnight shifts

  • additional responsibilities

  • leadership roles as the program grows

Work Schedule

Mana Haven operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Typical shifts include:

Morning Shift
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Evening Shift
4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Overnight Shift
12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

Both full-time and part-time positions may be available depending on staffing needs.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Have a valid driver's license

  • Be able to pass a Utah Department of Human Services background check (DACS)

  • Be reliable and able to work scheduled shifts

  • Have strong communication skills

  • Be comfortable working in a residential home environment

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.

Required Certifications

To work in this role, staff must obtain the following certification:

  • CPR / First Aid Certification

Applicants are responsible for obtaining CPR / First Aid certification prior to their first shift.

Mana Haven will reimburse the cost of CPR / First Aid certification (up to $75) after an employee completes 60 days of employment in good standing.

Background checks required through the Utah DACS system will be arranged and paid for by Mana Haven.

Probationary Period

All new hires begin with a 60-day probationary period.

During this time employees will:

  • Complete orientation and training

  • Become familiar with the residents and daily routines

  • Learn documentation and house procedures

  • Demonstrate reliability and professionalism

Successful completion of the probationary period moves employees into regular staff status.

As the program expands, staff may have opportunities to move into leadership roles such as:

  • Shift Lead

  • Residential Supervisor

  • Program Manager

These roles include additional responsibility for mentoring staff, coordinating schedules, and helping maintain the quality of services provided to residents.

Mana Haven is designed to be a calm and structured home environment.

Staff work closely with residents while also working as part of a small, supportive team.

Owners and program leadership are actively involved in daily operations and work alongside staff to ensure the home runs smoothly.
